A Hands-On Paranormal Investigation at Two Historic Bridges
Leave downtown Gettysburg behind and head into the countryside for a small-group ghost hunt at Historic Sachs Covered Bridge and John Eisenhower Bridge.
This is not a ghost-story tour. You do the investigating.
Your guide will introduce the history, reported paranormal activity, and ghost-hunting equipment used during the investigation. Then you’ll have the opportunity to use the equipment, ask questions, listen for responses, and see what—if anything—happens.
There are no actors, staged scares, or guaranteed ghosts. Some investigations are quiet. Others produce experiences guests are still talking about afterward.
Sachs Covered Bridge
Built in 1852, Sachs Covered Bridge was used by both Union and Confederate troops during the Gettysburg Campaign and was later designated Pennsylvania’s “most historic bridge.”
It has also developed a long-standing reputation for paranormal activity. Visitors have reported voices, footsteps, cold spots, strange lights, unexplained touches, and apparitions.
After dark, the wooden bridge, Marsh Creek, and surrounding countryside create an ideal setting for a serious investigation.
John Eisenhower Bridge
Built in 1886, the John Eisenhower Bridge is an historic iron truss bridge crossing Willoughby Run near the Eisenhower Farm.
Sometimes called “Suicide Bridge,” it has become another well-known location among Gettysburg-area paranormal investigators. Reports include unexplained voices, unusual sounds, cold spots, sensations of being watched, and apparent responses during electronic investigations.
Its open iron framework and isolated setting provide a very different investigation experience from Sachs Bridge.
You Investigate
At both locations, you’ll have time to slow down, observe the surroundings, use paranormal investigation equipment, and participate in attempts to communicate.
We encourage both curiosity and skepticism. Not every sound is paranormal, and not every meter reading means something supernatural. The goal is to investigate carefully and see what the night produces.
Because the group is kept small, you’ll have more time with the equipment, less background noise, and more opportunity to participate.
